Event Photographer Lisbon FAQ: Frequently Asked Questions

Conference photography in Lisbon is priced per half day or full day, plus IVA, rather than by the hour. The quote depends on event length, number of rooms, whether you want a highlight reel, and travel. Every quote includes edited photos delivered within 48 hours and same-day highlights for social media. Send me your date, venue and brief and I’ll reply with a fixed quote within 24 hours.

I recommend booking an event photographer in Lisbon at least 1-2 months in advance, especially for conferences with large audiences, multiple sessions or busy periods like Web Summit week. Early booking secures your date, gives us time to plan a shot list, and avoids last-minute premiums. Short-notice bookings are possible subject to availability, so get in touch with your date and I’ll confirm.

To give you a fixed quote, I need the event date, venue and start and end times, plus a short description of the event (conference, product launch, gala, trade show stand). It also helps to know:

  • Expected number of attendees and number of rooms or stages

  • Key moments to capture, such as keynotes, panels, networking, sponsor areas, awards or group photos

  • Whether you need photography only or a highlight video too

  • Deadline for delivery, including same-day social media highlights

  • Brand guidelines, a shot list and the main on-site contact

Professional coverage gives you content to use for weeks after the event, because your team is too busy to capture it themselves. It keeps you visible on social media while the event is fresh and makes follow-ups warmer, since prospects recognise your stand. See why exhibitors hire an event photographer.

Coverage typically includes speakers and keynotes, panels, networking, sponsor and exhibitor areas, branding, venue atmosphere and group photos. I work discreetly so I don’t disturb presentations. Any specific requests can be agreed prior to the event.

For a full-day conference, you’ll typically receive 100-120 fully edited, high-resolution photos, delivered within 48 hours. Half-day events usually come to 50-60 photos. The exact number depends on the length of the event, the number of rooms and the range of moments to cover. I also send up to 12 same-day highlights for social media. Every image is colour-corrected and retouched, and I only deliver the strongest shots rather than every frame.

You receive up to 12 same-day highlights for social media, and the full set of 100-120 edited photos within 48 hours of the event. Highlight reels are delivered within 72 hours. If you need faster delivery for press or sponsors, tell me when booking and we’ll plan for it.

Yes. As well as event photography in Lisbon, I offer a highlight reel of around 60 seconds, edited for social media and marketing and delivered in vertical or horizontal format, usually within 48-72 hours of the event. For long-form projects such as aftermovies, full session recordings or multi-camera coverage, I bring in an experienced videographer from my network and manage it as one booking, so you only have one point of contact. Get in touch and I’ll put together a quote.

Every delivered photo is professionally edited: colour-corrected, exposure and white balance adjusted, cropped and retouched where needed, so the set looks consistent and is ready for marketing, social media and press. Images are delivered as high-resolution JPEGs, and I can supply web-sized versions for social media on request. Unedited RAW files are not included, as they aren’t a finished product, but if you have specific brand colours or a visual style you want matched, send me your guidelines beforehand.

Every booking includes a licence to use the photos for your own business purposes, including your website, social media, marketing materials, press releases and internal communications, with no time limit and no extra fee. You can share them with sponsors, speakers and partners for promoting the event. Photos can’t be resold or licensed to third parties, or used for paid advertising campaigns, without agreeing it with me first. I’m always happy to extend the licence if you need it.

As the photographer, I retain the copyright to the images, and you receive a licence to use them as described above. This is standard practice in professional photography. I also reserve the right to use selected images in my portfolio, website and social media to showcase my work. If you need full copyright transfer, for example for a large advertising campaign, we can agree that in advance as part of the quote.

For larger bookings I ask for a deposit to secure your date, with the balance due on completion. For smaller bookings, payment is due after the event and before final delivery. Invoices are in euros, plus IVA. If your event is postponed, your deposit can be moved to the new date, subject to availability. Cancellation terms are confirmed in your quote.

I’m based in Lisbon and cover events across Lisbon, Cascais, Sintra and the rest of Portugal. I also travel regularly for conferences and trade shows across Europe, including Amsterdam, Barcelona and other major event cities. Local coverage in the Lisbon area has no travel charge. For events elsewhere in Portugal or abroad, travel and accommodation are quoted transparently with your estimate. Send me your venue and dates and I’ll confirm availability.

At conferences, organisers normally inform attendees through registration terms and on-site signage that photography is taking place, in line with GDPR requirements.. I work with your team to respect any photo-free requests and can avoid specific people or areas if you flag them in advance. For private or confidential events, tell me when booking.
